Summary: Olynth 0.1% Rhinitis Dosage Spray is a rhinitis medicine containing xylometazoline hydrochloride as the active ingredient. It is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in the event of rhinitis, runny nose, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis and middle ear infection associated with the common cold. The dosing spray is intended for schoolchildren and adults. Certain precautions should be taken before use. For example, the dosing spray must not be used if you are allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or suffer from dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa. It also contains benzalkonium chloride, so it is not applicable in case of known hypersensitivity to this substance. The recommended dosage is 1 spray into each nostril up to 3 times daily. The duration of use should not exceed 7 days. It is important to use the medicine exactly as directed in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Possible side effects include increased swelling of the mucous membranes, nosebleeds, effects on the heart and circulation, hypersensitivity reactions, headache, insomnia and tiredness. The medicinal product should be kept out of reach of children and should not be stored above 30 °C. After opening, it is stable for 12 weeks.
