Emser® nasal rinsing salt physiological is a salt mixture that contains natural Emser salt and various other mineral salts.The composition of the minerals corresponds to the composition of the nasal secretion in terms of the main components such as sodium, bicarbonate, potassium, sulfate and chloride ions.This makes the product ideal for moistening the nose when the mucous membrane is dry and for regular rinsing treatments in which mechanical cleaning of the nose is the priority, such as for hay fever or for patients chronically exposed to dust.

Nasal rinsing solutions should be isotonic, meaning that the mineral content should match that of the blood.This means that a precisely measured amount of salt must be dissolved in a specific amount of water.At 2.5 g, the practical Emser® salt portion bags are exactly the same as the 250 ml capacity of the Emser® Nasanita nasal douche.

Emser® nasal rinse salt contains no chemical additives to preserve or improve the flow properties.The natural Ems salt contains numerous valuable minerals and trace elements in a unique balance and combination.Its origin from the depths of the earth determines its natural purity.The special composition causes it to be extremely well tolerated and increases the effectiveness of mechanical irrigation treatments of the main nasal cavity.

Areas of application

Emser® nasal rinse salt is used for rinsing the nose.Nasal rinses are always useful when the nose needs to be intensively cleaned and moistened.This is important, for example, when there is increased dust and dirt, but also when there is increased mucus and crust formation.In times of increased risk of infection with colds, regular nasal rinses prevent the development of colds.For allergy sufferers, it is recommended to regularly rinse your nose when there is pollen, especially in the evening before going to bed.Nasal rinses are also suitable for moistening the nasal mucosa and are therefore always useful when the nasal mucosa has become too dry due to environmental influences, such as air conditioning or heating air.

Emser® nasal rinse salt can be used safely over a longer period of time to prevent colds, house dust and pollen allergies, dry noses and heavy exposure to dust.No prescription is required for this product.

Ingredients of Emser® physiological nasal rinse salt: 1 bag (2.5 g) Emser physiological nasal rinse salt contains a mineral salt mixture with 5% natural Emser salt as an effective ingredient.The mineral salt mixture contains 890 mg sodium ions, 23 mg potassium ions, 1122.5 mg chloride ions, 432.5 mg hydrogen carbonate ions and 28.75 mg sulfate ions.1 g of natural Ems salt is obtained by evaporating 350 ml of pure spring water, which is taken from the mineral-rich thermal spring in Bad Ems.

Emser® nasal rinse salt contains no chemical additives to preserve or improve the flow properties.

Contraindications

Emser® nasal rinsing salt physiological must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to Emser salt, injuries to the roof of the nose and the walls of the paranasal sinuses in connection with rhinoliquorrhoea (leakage of fluid from the nose) and in cases of a strongly increased tendency to nosebleeds.

Particular caution should be taken when using Emser® nasal rinsing salt physiologically if there is severe hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract (e.g. bronchial asthma) and if you are following a diet low in potassium and sodium (please note the potassium and sodium ion content per dose!).

According to the manufacturer, there are no restrictions for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.If necessary, consult a doctor.

Dosage

Recommended use of Emser® physiological nasal rinsing salt: You can carry out nasal rinsing up to 3 times a day with the recommended solution volume of 250 ml of water for one Emser® physiological nasal rinsing salt bag.As a rule, once a day application is sufficient.For long-term irrigation therapies, irrigation every 2-3 days is recommended.

To prepare a solution, fill a container with 250 ml of lukewarm water of drinking quality (possibly boil, e.g. after nose surgery) and add 1 sachet of Emser® nasal rinsing salt physiologically.Gently swirl the container back and forth until the nasal rinse salt is completely dissolved.The resulting solution is now isotonic and can be used without hesitation.Rinse your nose over the sink in a relaxed position.

With the Emser nasal shower, use is easy and convenient and you can achieve optimal results.

Notes

The solution should be freshly prepared before each use and used immediately.It is important to maintain the correct concentration of the rinsing solution, as rinsing solutions that are too high or too low in concentration can lead to irritation and side effects.Emser® nasal rinse salt dissolved according to instructions (1 bag in 250 ml of water) always results in an isotonic, i.e.h.Salt solution adapted to the mineral content of the blood.

Please only use rinsing solutions made with drinking water immediately after they have been prepared, as Emser® nasal rinsing salt does not contain any preservatives and the solution quickly becomes germy when stored.

Emser® nasal rinsing salt can be used indefinitely, provided that the rinsing solution is always prepared in the correct concentration.
