Directions for use of Gentian Stomach Tonic Gentian Stomach Tonic is an anthroposophical medicinal product used to harmonise digestive functions. It contains an aqueous total extract of gentian root, ginger root, calamus root, pepper fruit and wormwood herb. Indications include loss of appetite, bloating and nausea. Gentian Stomach Tonic must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to ginger and pepper, stomach and intestinal ulcers, children under 12 years of age and during pregnancy and breastfeeding. In the case of gallstone disease, consult a doctor before use. If symptoms persist or are unclear, medical advice should also be sought. There are no known interactions with other medicines. The dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age is 1 teaspoon 1-3 times daily undiluted or diluted with water before meals. The treatment should be completed after 5 days. If there is no improvement, a doctor should be consulted. There are no known side effects.
