Ambroxol 15 juice - 1 A Pharma® is a medicine that is used for respiratory diseases with thick mucus.The active ingredient ambroxol helps to liquefy the mucus so that it can be coughed up and removed more easily.The juice is suitable for adults and children aged 2 and over and has a fruity raspberry taste.For younger children, the medicine should only be used on medical advice.

A higher dosage is also available as Ambroxol 30 Juice - 1 A Pharma® with apricot flavor.

Active ingredient and mode of action

Ambroxol is a proven, secretion-dissolving active ingredient, also known as an expectorant.It has several positive effects on respiratory diseases with thick mucus:

Ambroxol liquefies bronchial mucus by increasing the production of thin mucus in the airways.It also increases the activity of the fine cilia on the surface of the bronchial mucosa, which remove loosened mucus.

Conclusion: The liquefied mucus can be coughed up more easily and removed more easily at the same time.

Ambroxol 15 Saft-1A Pharma contains the following active ingredients and excipients:

15 mg ambroxol hydrochloride, 13.68 mg ambroxol, citric acid 1-water, glycerol 85%, sodium cyclamate, 1 mg sodium disulfite, sodium hydroxide, povidone K90, sorbitol solution 70%, non-crystallizing, 1.75 g sorbitol, 0.44 g fructose, water, purified, 10 mg benzoic acid, raspberryFlavoring, benzyl alcohol, ethanol.

Contraindications

Ambroxol 15 Saft-1A Pharma must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

Always take Ambroxol 15 Saft-1A Pharma exactly as described or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist.No prescription is required for this product.

Ambroxol 15 Juice - 1 A Pharma® is taken with or without meals using the included dosing aid (measuring spoon).Please clean the measuring spoon after use by rinsing it with warm water.

The recommended dose is:

Children up to 2 years (only on doctor's instructions): ½ measuring spoon with 2.5 ml oral solution twice daily (corresponding to 15 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day).

Children aged 2-5 years: ½ measuring spoon with 2.5 ml oral solution 3 times a day (equivalent to 22.5 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day).

Children aged 6-12 years: 1 measuring spoon with 5 ml oral solution 2-3 times a day (equivalent to 30-45 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day).

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: As a rule, 2 measuring spoons with 5 ml of oral solution (corresponding to 90 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day) are taken 3 times a day for the first 2-3 days.Thereafter, 2 measuring spoons with 5 ml of oral solution (corresponding to 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day) are taken twice a day.

Important: If your symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 4-5 days, you should consult a doctor.

Intake

Ambroxol 15 Saft-1A Pharma is an oral solution.It is taken with or without meals using the included dosage aid.Please clean the dosing aid after use by rinsing it with warm water.

Contains sodium metabisulfite, sorbitol, benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid, ethanol.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
