Application

Every morning, immediately after getting up, a patch is applied to a clean, dry, hairless and undamaged area of skin on the upper body, upper arm or hip after removing the protective film.To do this, press the patch firmly against the skin for 10 to 15 seconds.Before using the patch, you should wash your hands.Afterwards, you should wash your hands thoroughly so that any nicotine stuck to your fingers does not accidentally get into your eyes.

Contraindications

The nicorette® Transdermal Patch 10 mg must not be used if you are a non-smoker, if you smoke occasionally and smoke one cigarette per day or less often, or if you are allergic to nicotine.

Dosage

The dosage depends on previous consumption habits.Smokers who smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day should use a nicorette® patch 25 mg daily in phase 1 (weeks 1-8), a nicorette® patch 15 mg daily in phase 2 (weeks 9-10) and a nicorette® patch 10 mg daily in phase 3 (weeks 11-12).Smokers who smoke up to 20 cigarettes per day should use one nicorette® patch 15 mg daily in phase 1 (weeks 1-8) and one nicorette® patch 10 mg daily in phase 2 (weeks 9-12).

Patient information
