Dosage and instructions for use

Adolescents 12 years and older and adults should take 1 tablet 3-4 times daily after meals. Before urological examinations, 1 tablet can be taken 1-2 hours beforehand. The tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. The duration of use is determined individually by your doctor.

Contraindications

The medicine should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, gastrointestinal obstruction, bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, difficulty in urinating, glaucoma and myasthenia gravis. It should also not be used in children under 12 years of age, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Discuss any existing medical conditions and medications you are taking with your doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

Possible side effects of the medicine include indigestion, nausea, drowsiness, worsening of vision, vomiting, dry mouth and skin rash. If side effects occur, the medicine should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Composition

The medicinal product contains the active substance flavoxate hydrochloride and various excipients. One tablet contains 200 mg flavoxate hydrochloride.

Important information

The medicinal product may impair the ability to react, therefore caution should be exercised during use when driving or operating machinery. People with lactose intolerance or who have to follow a diabetic diet should consider the sugar content. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about other medicines you are taking as interactions may occur.

Storage

Keep the medicine away from heat. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging.
