Instructions for use for FEMANNOSE N granules
Area of application
Femannose N granules are used to prevent and support the treatment of bladder infections (cystitis) and are suitable for ages 14 and over. The active ingredient D-mannose ensures that inflammation-causing E. coli bacteria are coated in the bladder and thereby blocked.
Mode of action
The surface of the mucosal cells in the bladder consists of sugar structures. The sugar-loving E. coli bacteria - which cause up to 90% of bladder infections - prefer to adhere there with their fimbriae (small hairs). The inflammation is caused by the body's defense reaction. When taking Femannose N granules, a larger amount of D-mannose reaches the bladder and urinary tract unchanged. The fimbriae of the E. coli bind to D-mannose so that the E. coli cannot continue to adhere to the bladder mucosa and cause inflammation, but are flushed out with the urine.

What is Femannose N and what is it used for?
Cystitis (inflammation of the bladder) and related diseases are microbial diseases that primarily affect the bladder and urethra. In most cases, they are triggered by the invasion of non-pathogenic bacteria from the microflora of the lower gastrointestinal tract, when these bacteria find conditions that allow them to adhere and grow on the bladder wall and urinary tract. These conditions are most common in young women, during pregnancy, and perimenopause and postmenopause, but sometimes in older men or catheterized patients. The first-line drug therapy for cystitis is currently antibiotics. However, many bacteria are resistant and can cause the infection to reoccur.Femannose N is a medical device indicated for the prevention and supportive treatment of cystitis and other uncomplicated bacterial urinary tract infections (UTIs).D-mannose can relieve the most common symptoms of lower urinary tract infections (burning during urination, frequent urination, urgency, etc.) when caused by Escherichia coli bacteria.
How does Femannose N work?
D-mannose is an epimer of glucose that effectively prevents the adhesion of pathogens to the epithelium of the urinary tract and can therefore prevent the attachment of microbes that invade the urogenital tract. This reduces the virulence or ability to attach to the tissue of the urinary tract and helps to “physically” prevent infections from recurring.Femannose N for the prevention or supportive treatment of cystitis and other uncomplicated bacterial urinary tract infections can have a synergistic effect together with antibiotics because the antimicrobial mode of action is different and does not overlap. In particular, Femannose N and its components do not contribute to the development of resistance.
Symptoms and causes of cystitis
A bladder infection is unpleasant and affects women more often than men.The reason for this is that women have a shorter urethra, which means bacteria can get into the bladder more quickly and cause inflammation. In most cases - around 90% - the cause is the intestinal bacterium Escherichia Coli (E. Coli).A bladder infection - also called cystitis - is characterized by typical symptoms such as constant urge to urinate, burning when urinating, cloudy, unpleasant-smelling urine or abdominal pain.If there is blood in the urine, you should definitely see a doctor.Women over 50 often suffer from cystitis during menopause due to hormonal changes. But younger women between the ages of 20 and 40 are also increasingly struggling with this. Frequent sexual intercourse that irritates the mucous membranes, stress, cold feet, wet swimwear, a weakened immune system or lack of sleep promote infection.
Effectively prevent and support cystitis
With the tasty drinking granules Femannose N, an unpleasant bladder infection can be treated to support but also be effectively prevented.Convincing: 96% of users are satisfied with the use of Femannose N - their expectations were met or exceeded.
The intake and dosage in the supportive treatment of cystitis
If you have a bladder infection, three sachets should be taken daily until the third day of infection. On the fourth and fifth days, two sachets a day are enough. To avoid recurring bladder infections or to prevent them, we recommend taking 1 sachet daily.Dissolve the drinking granules in a glass of water and then drink.Femannose N can be taken over a continuous period of thirty days.In order to generally alleviate the symptoms of a bladder infection, it is important to drink around two liters of fluid per day to enable the pathogens to be flushed out.Heat can relieve pain in the lower abdomen and also promotes blood circulation.Rest and sleep strengthen the immune system.
More tips for preventing bladder infections
Change wet clothing quickly after swimming.Do not suppress the urge to urinate, but go to the toilet immediately.Do not irritate the intimate area with excessive hygiene so that the protective acid mantle of the mucous membrane remains intact.Urinate promptly after each sexual intercourse.
