Tantum Verde® with orange-honey flavor 3 mg lozenges are a medicine for the symptomatic treatment of pain and irritation in the mouth and throat.The active ingredient benzydamine hydrochloride has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

The lozenges are effective against various complaints in the mouth and throat, including sore throat caused by a viral cold, slight scratching and burning in the throat, irritation in the oral cavity caused by hot foods, drinks or hard food ingredients, difficulty swallowing, inflammation of the mucous membranes with painful blisters (stomatitis aphthosa), inflammation of the gums, periodontitis and oral mucositis (inflammation in the mouth).

Active ingredients and ingredients

Tantum Verde® with orange-honey flavor 3 mg lozenges contain the active ingredient benzydamine hydrochloride.One lozenge contains 3 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride, which is equivalent to 2.68 mg of benzydamine.The other ingredients are isomalt (E953), acesulfame potassium, citric acid monohydrate, orange flavor, honey flavor, levomenthol, quinoline yellow (E104) and yellow orange S (E110).

Contraindications

Tantum Verde® must not be used if you are allergic to benzydamine hydrochloride, yellow orange S (E110), levomenthol, isomalt (E953), acesulfame potassium, citric acid monohydrate, orange flavor, honey flavor or quinoline yellow (E104).

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and children over 6 years is one lozenge three times a day.Do not take more than three lozenges a day.Children between 6 and 11 years of age should take the medicine under adult supervision.The “lozenge” dosage form is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.Do not use Tantum Verde® for longer than 7 days.If pain persists or worsens, see your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

The lozenges are intended for use in the mouth and throat.Allow one lozenge to slowly dissolve in your mouth.Do not swallow or chew the tablet.

Patient information

Particular caution in use is required in patients suffering from phenylketonuria, in patients who suffer or have suffered from asthma and in cases of hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.If you suffer from sugar intolerance, only use this medicine after consulting your doctor.If mouth or throat pain worsens or does not improve, fever or other symptoms occur, contact your doctor or dentist.The medicine does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding, you should tell your doctor.He will then decide whether you should use the medicine.
