Directions for use of Kamillan Liquid Kamillan Liquid is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to support gastrointestinal function, skin function and the function of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat. It contains a combination of chamomile flower extract and yarrow extract. This combination has a wound-healing and anti-inflammatory effect and strengthens the protective barrier of the skin. Kamillan can be used to treat open injuries or abrasions and soothes the affected stomach lining in the case of inflammation. Kamillan is used either internally or externally, depending on the symptoms. For inflammations of the throat and pharynx, Kamillan is used with warm water as a gargle or rinsing solution. For acute inflammation of the gums or oral mucosa, Kamillan can be applied to the affected areas. For stomach aches or cramps, Kamillan is drunk diluted in water or tea. There are a few notes to keep in mind. Kamillan should not be used on children under 12 years of age. Internal use should not exceed a period of 2 weeks and external use should not be continued for longer than 1 week. Side effects have rarely occurred so far. However, disturbances of well-being or changes during treatment may occur. In case of allergic reactions or uncertainty, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. The composition of Kamillan contains chamomile flower extract, yarrow herb extract, mixed extract of chamomile flowers and yarrow herb, ethanol and macrogolglycerol stearates. The exact mode of action of the ingredients has not yet been fully scientifically proven. There are some important notes to follow, such as caution in the case of allergies to certain substances and alcohol consumption.
