Durafiber Ag is an absorbent, gel-forming wound dressing with silver.This wound dressing is particularly absorbent and contains gel-forming components.The special mixture of cellulose fibers makes it suitable for the treatment of chronic, acute and infected wounds with medium to high amounts of exudate.The dressing period can be up to seven days, which supports economical care.

Durafiber Ag consists of non-woven fibers with gel-forming components and silver.It provides long-lasting antimicrobial activity that is effective against a broad spectrum of pathogenic bacteria for up to seven days.This also includes bacteria such as S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, MRSA and VRE.By minimizing the dead space, the colonization of bacteria is reduced.

The high level of patient comfort is ensured by the high absorption capacity and retention, which traps the wound exudate and the harmful bacteria it contains.The wound dressing remains permanently intact and gelled, making it easier to remove.It can remain on the wound for up to seven days.

The risk of maceration is reduced because the wound dressing shrinks minimally and continuously covers the wound bed.The vertical absorption of the exudate minimizes horizontal spread and thus the risk of maceration of the surrounding skin.The wound dressing adapts to the wound bed and supports wound healing by creating a moist wound environment.

Durafiber Ag is an absorbent, antimicrobial, gelling dressing suitable for the treatment of chronic and acute wounds.This includes full/partial skin wounds, shallow granulating exuding wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, skin donor sites, first and second degree burns, fistula tracts and tunneled wounds, secondary healing wounds, wounds prone to bleeding, and infected wounds.
