Candio-Hermal® Softpaste is a remedy for yeast infections of the skin.The active ingredient nystatin, an antifungal, is used to treat fungal infections.Nystatin kills the fungi.The product is used to treat weeping yeast infections of the skin in diaper rash, also known as diaper thrush on sore skin.No prescription is required for this product.

The active ingredient in Candio-Hermal® soft paste is nystatin.Each gram of the paste contains 20 milligrams of nystatin, which corresponds to 100,000 international units (IU).The paste also contains the following excipients: hydrophobic base gel, poly(O-methyl) rice starch, titanium dioxide, PEG-4-dioleate, highly disperse silicon dioxide, sorbitan sesquioleate, sorbitan stearate and sodium chloride.

Contraindications

Candio-Hermal® Softpaste must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to nystatin or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Always use Candio-Hermal® Softpaste exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: Apply the paste evenly thinly to the affected skin areas three to five times a day.The average treatment duration is two to three weeks.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

If you use more of the medicine than you should, the side effects known for the active ingredient nystatin may occur.There are no known symptoms of poisoning.

If you forget to use the medicine, do not use a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If you want to stop using the drug, all fungal foci on the skin and mucous membranes must be eliminated to avoid relapses.Always contact your doctor if you wish to stop treatment.

Intake

Apply Candio-Hermal® Softpaste evenly and thinly to the affected skin areas three to five times a day.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Before using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.Nystatin, the active ingredient in Candio-Hermal® Softpaste, is considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Notes

Apply the medicine to all diseased areas of skin to prevent recurrence of symptoms that could arise from untreated diseased areas.
