Candio-Hermal soft paste is a medicine used to treat weeping yeast infections of the skin in nappy dermatitis. The active ingredient in the soft paste is nystatin. It is important to read the leaflet carefully and use the soft paste according to the doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. The soft paste should be applied thinly to the affected areas of skin, three to five times a day. The duration of treatment is usually two to three weeks. In case of an overdose, rash, itching and burning may occur. In rare cases, allergic reactions may also occur. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should ask their doctor or pharmacist for advice before using the medicine. Side effects are usually rare but may occur in exceptional cases. There are no known interactions with other medicines. The medicine should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients. It should be kept out of the reach of children, protected from heat and not used for longer than 6 months after opening.
