Area of application

This medicine is suitable for treating fungal skin diseases.It contains the active ingredients clotrimazole and zinc oxide and is used for dermatomycoses caused by yeasts, molds and dermatophytes.It is particularly effective for fungal infections in skin folds, such as between the toes or in the groin, as well as diaper rash in the diaper area.

The paste contains 10 mg clotrimazole and 150 mg zinc oxide per gram. The following excipients are also included: (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, 2-phenoxyethanol, alpha-cetylstearyl-omega-hydroxypoly (oxyethylene)-12, cetomacrogol 1000, cetostearyl alcohol, corn starch, white petroleum jelly and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole, zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients.In addition, out of caution, clotrimazole should not be used in the first to third months of pregnancy.

Dosage

It is always used in accordance with the instructions for use or after consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.The frequency of use depends on the type and severity of the disease and the skin reaction.As a rule, the paste is applied to the affected skin areas twice a day, morning and evening.For children, the paste is applied thinly to the diaper area with every diaper change.No special dosage adjustments are required for children and the elderly.

For the treatment to be successful, regular and sufficiently long use, usually over two weeks, is necessary.Treatment should continue even after symptoms have subsided.In the event of an overdose, skin irritation may occur, but this does not require any special countermeasures.Forgotten applications should not be compensated for by a double dose.Stopping treatment should be discussed with your doctor.

Intake

Hands should be cleaned thoroughly before and after treatment.The affected areas of skin should also be cleaned with lukewarm water and allowed to dry completely, especially in the case of affected skin folds.The paste is then applied thinly and evenly to cover the entire affected area.
