Instructions for use of the article Exoderil Gel: - Exoderil Gel is a remedy for fungal infections of the skin (dermatomycoses) caused by dermatophytes, yeast and moulds as well as mixed infections with bacteria. It can also be used to treat fungal infections of the nails (onychomycoses). - The gel is applied thinly to the affected skin areas once a day and rubbed in. In the case of fungal nail infections, it is recommended to carry out the treatment twice a day. - The duration of treatment depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease. Normally, the symptoms improve within a few days, but the treatment should be continued for 1-2 weeks after all symptoms of the disease have subsided. In the case of fungal nail infections, the duration of use should not exceed 6 months. - The gel should be kept out of reach of children and should not get into the eye or be applied to mucous membranes or open wounds. - When used as directed, no overdose symptoms are known. - During pregnancy and lactation, the gel should only be used after a careful risk-benefit assessment. - In case of hypersensitivity to naftifine hydrochloride or other components of the gel, the medicinal product must not be used. - Possible side effects are inflammation of the skin/allergy (contact dermatitis) and reddening of the skin due to increased blood circulation (erythema). - The gel contains alcohol and should therefore not get into the eyes, should not be applied to mucous membranes and should not be placed in open wounds. - Before using the gel, pregnant women, nursing mothers and people with certain allergies should consult their doctor or pharmacist. - Read the package leaflet before use and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. - The manufacturer of the gel is MEDICE Arzneimittel Pütter GmbH & Co.
