Directions for use of the article Exoderil Gel: Exoderil Gel is an antimycotic for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails. The active ingredient naftifine hydrochloride fights dermatophytes, yeast, moulds and mixed infections with bacteria. It is applied thinly once a day to the affected skin areas and rubbed in. In the case of nail fungus, treatment twice a day is recommended. The symptoms should improve within a few days, but the treatment should be continued for 1-2 weeks after all symptoms of the disease have subsided. For fungal nail infections, treatment should last a maximum of 6 months. The gel should be protected from heat and frost and used for a maximum of 8 weeks after opening. Use during pregnancy and lactation should only be done after careful consideration of the benefits and risks. Side effects may include inflammation of the skin or allergic reactions. In case of overdose or forgotten application, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to naftifine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients. Special care should be taken in case of allergy to antifungal agents. The gel contains alcohol and should not get into the eyes, on mucous membranes or open wounds.
