Instructions for use for EXODERIL Cream, 50 g

Exoderil cream is an antimycotic for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin. It contains the active ingredient naftifine hydrochloride and is effective against dermatophytes, yeasts, moulds and bacteria. The cream is applied thinly to the affected skin areas once a day and rubbed in. The symptoms, such as itching, should subside within a few days. However, the treatment should be continued for 1-2 weeks after the symptoms have subsided to prevent a recurrence of the fungal disease. The exact duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the infection as well as the affected area of the body. The cream should be kept out of the reach of children and may be used for 8 weeks after opening. The medicine should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Possible side effects may include skin irritation, a burning sensation, dry skin, skin inflammation and redness. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before use.
