exoderil® cream works quickly and intensively against fungal skin infections.The product also has a moisturizing effect and is characterized by particularly good tolerability.Symptoms often improve after just a few days.The cream should be applied in the evening.

The active ingredient naftifine in exoderil® cream is unique because it has a fungicidal effect against dermatophytes and molds and is still excellently tolerated.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

exoderil® Cream is used for fungal skin infections (dermatomycoses) caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and molds as well as mixed infections with bacteria.

Mode of action

The active ingredient naftifine hydrochloride in exoderil® cream damages the cell membrane of the fungi.As a result, the cell envelope loses its functionality and becomes more permeable to nutrients.The fungal cells begin to starve, inhibiting their growth.Further damage to the inside of the cells causes the fungi to die.Naftifine hydrochloride is also effective against some bacteria and has anti-inflammatory properties.

exoderil® cream contains the active ingredient naftifine hydrochloride.1 g of cream contains 10 mg of naftifine hydrochloride.The other ingredients are sodium hydroxide, benzyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, isopropyl myristate and purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

exoderil® cream is applied thinly to the affected skin areas once a day, preferably in the evening, and rubbed in.The symptoms usually improve within a few days.However, treatment should be continued for 1-2 weeks after all symptoms have subsided in order to avoid a recurrence of the fungal disease.

Intake

The medicine is applied thinly to the affected skin areas and rubbed in.

The medicine should not get into the eye.Store drug out of reach of children.

Pregnancy

Before using any medicines, you should ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.When used on the skin, the active ingredient naftifine is only absorbed into the body to a very small extent.Nevertheless, the preparation should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after careful risk-benefit assessment.

Notes

Contains stearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol.Do not bring into eyes.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
