Cutasept® G is a colored propanol-based skin antiseptic that was specifically developed for use before injections, punctures and surgical procedures.It is characterized by a quick and comprehensive effect.No prescription is required for this product.

Skin disinfection is one of the most important measures in medical facilities.Skin disinfection must be carried out before any action that involves damaging the skin.This includes, for example, taking blood, placing indwelling venous cannulas, removing stitches or staples and caring for wounds.

Mode of action

There are two techniques for skin disinfection: spraying and rubbing.During the spraying process, the relevant area of skin is sprayed with skin disinfectant until it is completely wetted.With the rubbing method, the agent is applied using a swab until the surface to be disinfected is completely covered.

Ingredients of Cutasept® G solution are propan-2-ol, quaternary ammonium compounds and benzyl-C12-16-alkyldimethyl chlorides.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.

Application

Cutasept® G is recommended in the following areas of application: preoperative skin disinfection with simultaneous marking of the disinfection field, postoperative treatment of skin sutures and peripheral areas as well as before injections, punctures and surgical procedures in hospitals, doctor's offices, inpatient and outpatient geriatric care and for home dialysis.

The product is colored to mark the disinfection field, works quickly and comprehensively and offers a 24-hour long-term effect.It is characterized by excellent skin compatibility and is practical to use thanks to the overhead spray system.
