Directions for use of the article Glucose 5% B. Braun Ecoflac Plus: Glucose 5% B. Braun Infusion Solution is used to dissolve and dilute medicinal products administered by infusion. It contains the active substance glucose monohydrate. It should only be used on the instructions of a doctor and should not be given to other people. The solution does not contain electrolytes and is therefore not suitable for the treatment of fluid deficiency. There are certain conditions under which its use should be avoided, e.g. high blood sugar levels, hyperacidity of the blood, acute heart failure or water in the lungs. It should be used with caution if the patient has diabetes, impaired glucose metabolism or renal impairment. Pregnant and lactating women should consult their doctor before use. The recommended dosage depends on body weight. Possible side effects include an influence on the electrolyte level in the blood. The solution should be clear and colourless, otherwise it should not be used. It should be stored at room temperature and protected from children. Manufacturer: B.
