Directions for use of the article Glucose 5% B. Braun Ecoflac Plus Glucose 5% B. Braun solution for injection is used to dissolve and dilute medicinal products to be administered by injection. The solution contains the active substance glucose monohydrate. Certain precautions should be observed before use, e.g. the medicine should not be used if there is an excessive blood sugar level, the blood potassium level is too low or the blood is acidified. Other medicines may be used in combination with Glucose 5% B. Braun, but no interactions are known. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Use as directed by the doctor and the dosage depends on the medicine for which Glucose 5% B. Braun is used as a carrier solution. The solution can be administered as an injection or infusion. Possible side effects are disturbances of the electrolyte balance and overhydration. The medicinal product should be kept away from children and should not be used before the expiry date.
