Mode of action

Mirfulan ointment spray supports healing through various active ingredients.Zinc oxide has an antibacterial effect, binds wet wounds, covers and protects sore areas.Alpha-Bisabolol has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and calming effects.Cod liver oil provides a smooth consistency and relieves itching.The ointment spray also contains retinol and colecalciferol, which also contribute to wound healing.

Mirfulan ointment spray contains the following active ingredients: zinc oxide, (+/-)-alpha-bisabolol, cod liver oil, retinol and colecalciferol.The other ingredients include 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol, L-(+)-6-O-palmitoyascorbic acid, citric acid monohydrate, glycerol monostearate, propylene glycol, wool wax alcohol ointment, white petroleum jelly, thin paraffin, Dermasafe Dolcenta perfume oil and a propellant mixture of butane and propane/2-methylpropane.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.The medicine must not be used on infected skin.

Dosage

Mirfulan ointment spray can be conveniently and easily sprayed on once or several times a day without contact with the skin.Shake the can vigorously, align the spray can vertically with a distance of around 20 cm from the wound and spray the ointment evenly and thinly onto the wound surface.Before the next use, ointment residues can be carefully removed with warm soap solution if the condition of the wound allows this.

Patient information

Certain other ingredients can cause localized skin irritation, irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.Before use, care should be taken to ensure that the wound is not infected.If there is no improvement despite treatment, it must be checked whether an infection has occurred in the wound area.The spray should be shaken well before use.If no or too little ointment comes out, the spray head may be blocked.Do not spray in eyes.There are no sufficient studies on the use and dosage in infants and small children.

Pregnancy

To date, there have been no indications of risks from the use of this medicine in pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children under 12 years of age, but there are no drug-specific studies available.The medicine should not be used on the lactating breast.

Notes

The spray can is filled with a neutral safety propellant and is under pressure.It should be protected from temperatures above 47°C and should not be opened by force or burned.Do not spray against flames or on glowing bodies.The shelf life is 3 years.Once opened, Mirfulan ointment spray has a shelf life of 12 months.
