Instructions for use of the article Hepa GEL 30. 000 I.U. Lichtenstein Important information: Hepa-Gel 30.000 I.E. Lichtenstein is a medicinal product for the supportive treatment of acute swelling after blunt injuries such as bruises and haematomas. Read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist about risks and side effects. Product properties: Hepa-Gel 30,000 I.U. Lichtenstein is used to reduce swelling. It is applied as a gel to the skin. Dosage and instructions for use: The gel should be applied thinly and evenly 2 to 3 times daily to the affected area. The maximum duration of use is 10 days. Follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist. Contraindications: The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients, thrombocytopenia or if open wounds are present. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Side effects: Side effects may occur, but have been observed only rarely. If you feel unwell or experience any changes during treatment, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist. Composition: The active substance is heparin sodium. Other ingredients include carbomer 980, glycerol 85%, sodium hydroxide, rosemary oil and purified water. Mode of action: Heparin sodium has a blood-thinning and anticoagulant effect. It supports the breakdown of blood clots and the faster transport of metabolic products in case of injury, leading to the reduction of swelling, bruising and inflammation. Important notes: People with an allergy to pork protein should use the medicine with caution. Storage: Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and do not store above 25 °C.
