Isotonic Nacl solution 0.9% Eifelfango is an infusion solution used as a carrier solution for electrolyte concentrates and compatible medicines. It contains sodium chloride and is used for fluid and electrolyte replacement in various conditions such as hypochloraemic alkalosis, chloride loss, short-term intravascular volume replacement, hypotonic and isotonic dehydration. There are certain contraindications to its use, such as hyperhydration states and diseases requiring restrictive sodium intake. Use during pregnancy and lactation is safe. Electrolyte and fluid status checks are required for use. There are no known interactions with other medicines. Possible side effects may include an increase in sodium and chloride levels in the blood.
