Directions for use of the article Isotonic Nacl solution 0,9% Eifelfango Indications: - Fluid and electrolyte substitution in hypochloraemic alkalosis. - chloride losses - short-term intravascular volume replacement - hypotonic dehydration - isotonic dehydration Contraindications: - hyperhydration states (hyperhydration states) - Decreased blood potassium (hypokalaemia) - Increased sodium content of the blood (hypernatremia) - Increased chloride content of the blood (hyperchloraemia) - Diseases requiring sodium restriction (e.g. heart failure, generalised oedema, pulmonary oedema, hypertension, eclampsia, severe renal failure). Use during pregnancy and lactation: There are no objections to use during pregnancy and lactation. Precautions for use: Electrolyte and fluid status checks are required. Interactions with other medicinal products: None are known to date. Warnings: None. Dosage instructions, route and duration of administration: For intravenous infusion. The dosage is usually based on the fluid and electrolyte requirements. The following guideline values apply: Maximum infusion rate: Depends on the clinical situation. Maximum daily dose: The maximum daily dose is determined by the fluid and electrolyte requirements. For adults a value of 3-6 mmol sodium/kg body mass applies, for children 3-5 mmol sodium/kg body mass. In case of hypertonic dehydration, it is essential to avoid too fast an infusion rate. Notes in case of overdose: The symptoms of overdose are: Overhydration, increased sodium and chloride content of the blood (hypernatremia, hyperchloremia), hyperosmolarity, induction of an acidotic metabolic state. Therapy in case of overdose: interruption of the supply of the solution, accelerated elimination via the kidneys and a reduced supply of the corresponding electrolytes. Side effects: Increased sodium and chloride content of the blood (hypernatremia, hyperchloremia). If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects not mentioned in this leaflet. Shelf life of the medicine: You must not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and bottle label. Use only clear solutions in intact containers. Use solution immediately after opening. Discard any remaining stock. Keep medicinal products out of reach of children.
