Basodexan fat cream is a medicine used for the supportive treatment of various skin diseases. It contains the active ingredient urea. It can be used for conditions such as fish scale disease (ichthyosis), skin dryness (xeroderma), thickening of the horny layer (hyperkeratosis) and other conditions of dry, rough skin. It is also recommended after extensive cooling of skin diseases, especially for corticosteroid-free therapy in chronic skin diseases. It should be applied thinly to the affected skin and gently massaged in. The duration of application depends on the clinical picture and is determined individually by the doctor. Basodexan fat cream should not be used if you are hypersensitive to urea or any of the ingredients. It should also not be applied to acute inflammatory skin conditions with injured skin surfaces or near the eyes and mucous membranes. Use in the genital or anal area may compromise latex product safety. Use in children should be done with caution. Basodexan fat cream may cause side effects such as skin irritation, redness, itching and contact allergic reactions. The exact dosage and application should be discussed with a doctor.
