Balisa® cream

Urea, also known as urea, is a versatile active ingredient that is used in both medicine and cosmetics.It binds water in the skin, which makes it particularly effective in caring for and treating dry skin.Products containing urea facilitate the removal of dead skin cells, making the skin softer and more supple and relieving symptoms such as tension and itching.They alleviate skin irritations and improve the well-being of the user.

Preparations containing urea are used for various diseases, including dry and itchy skin, neurodermatitis, psoriasis, chronic eczema and fish scale disease (ichthyosis).

Balisa® Cream contains 120 mg/g urea and has been specially developed for the treatment of dry, red and chapped skin.It regulates skin moisture and is used for excessive hardening of the skin, milder forms of fish scale disease (ichthyosis) as well as its relapse prevention and long-term treatment.It is also used for follicular keratinization disorders.The cream is easy to apply and relieves symptoms such as tightness and itching of the affected skin.

Areas of application

The areas of application of Balisa® Cream include excessive keratinization of the skin, milder forms of fish scale disease (ichthyosis), relapse prevention and long-term treatment for fish scale disease, follicular keratinization disorders and dry, brittle, reddened skin.

Active ingredients and ingredients

1 g of cream (W/O) contains 120 mg of urea as an active ingredient.The other ingredients include (RS)-butane-1,3-diol, 2-phenoxyethanol, alpha-tocopherol acetate, butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene, anhydrous citric acid, decyl oleate, dexpanthenol, dibutyl adipate, hard paraffin, isopropyl myristate, magnesium sulfate 7-water, thin paraffin, polyoxyethylene (1) glycerolsorbitan isostearate, polyoxyethylene (30) sorbitol, propylene glycol, Protegin WX, retinol palmitate, sorbitol and purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity reactions can occur to all medicines, in which case use must be stopped immediately.If you are known to be allergic to the active ingredient or one of the other ingredients, the medication must not be used.The medicine should not be applied to abraded or acutely inflamed skin and should not be used over large areas if the kidneys are not functioning properly.

Dosage and application

Balisa® Cream is applied to the affected skin areas once or twice a day and rubbed in lightly.The cream is intended for application to the skin and must not be placed in the eyes or on mucous membranes.According to the doctor's instructions, it may be used under a tight-fitting bandage (occlusive bandage).

Patient information

The duration of use depends on the course of the disease and is determined by the doctor.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, medication should only be taken after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Notes

The cream must not come into contact with the eyes and mucous membranes, as certain other components of the cream can cause localized skin irritation, irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.No prescription is required for this product.
