This mineral preparation contains various magnesium compounds as active ingredients.These include 670 mg of magnesium carbonate, slightly basic, and 342 mg of magnesium oxide, also light.It also contains 365 mg of magnesium ions.Excipients include citric acid (anhydrous), potassium hydrogen carbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium chloride, sodium cyclamate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, saccharin sodium salt, lemon flavor and certain amounts of potassium ions, magnesium ions and sodium ions.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

The medicine is used in cases of proven magnesium deficiency if this is the cause of disorders of muscle activity, such as neuromuscular disorders or leg cramps.If you do not feel better or even feel worse after taking it, you should contact your doctor.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to magnesium or any of the other ingredients.The preparation should also not be used if there are disorders of kidney function or if the heartbeat is too slow (bradycardia) as a result of cardiac conduction disorders (higher degree AV block).Other contraindications include myasthenia gravis, severe water loss, metabolic alkalosis and chronic urinary tract infections with urea-splitting bacteria or certain urinary stone diseases.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described in the instructions for use or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The dosage depends on the degree of magnesium deficiency.Adults and adolescents should consume 15-30 mmol of magnesium ions daily, which corresponds to taking 1 sachet once or twice a day.Children aged 6 and over receive 7 to 15 mmol of magnesium ions daily, i.e. ½ to 1 sachet.In severe cases of magnesium deficiency, higher doses may be necessary under medical supervision.

The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the magnesium deficiency.Long-term magnesium intake should be monitored by a doctor.In the event of an overdose, softened stools and even diarrhea can occur, although no therapeutic measures are usually necessary.Don't forget to take a double dose.Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.

Intake

The effervescent granules are intended to be taken after dissolving in half a glass of water.Dissolve the contents of one sachet in half a glass of drinking water and drink the entire contents of the glass.
