Indication

Parodontal Oral Ointment provides effective support for inflammation and injuries of the oral mucosa and gums.Thanks to the combination of the analgesic active ingredient lidocaine and anti-inflammatory plant extracts from chamomile and sage, it acts quickly and precisely at the affected site.

The oral ointment is free from preservatives and contains neither sugar nor sugar substitutes.Mint oil provides a fresh sensation in the mouth, while the gel-like consistency ensures good adhesion and a long-lasting effect.

Parodontal Oral Ointment is suitable for all age groups and offers rapid relief for various issues, such as teething in toddlers, irritation caused by braces or dentures, and discomfort following dental procedures.

Active ingredients / Constituents / Ingredients

Parodontal Oral Ointment contains the following active ingredients per 100 g of gel: lidocaine 1.00 g, sage leaf extract (1:1.95–2.2) with 66.3% (v/v) ethanol 12.00 g, and chamomile flower extract (1:1.9–2.2) with 66.3% (v/v) ethanol 12.00 g.

The other ingredients are mint oil, propylene glycol, potassium carbonate, silica sol 1430, hyetellose, chlorophyllin-copper complex, trisodium salt, and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicinal product must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Apply the ointment to the affected area three to four times daily using a clean finger or cotton swab and massage it in gently.Continue using the ointment until the inflammation or wound has completely healed.

If symptoms do not improve or even worsen after 5–7 days, please consult your doctor or dentist.

Administration

In the dental practice, the wound area is treated and an appropriate amount of gel is applied.At home—unless otherwise prescribed—apply a pea-sized amount of gel to the painful or inflamed area three to four times daily using a clean fingertip and massage it in thoroughly.Rinse your mouth with water beforehand.

Patient Information

Particular caution is required for patients with severe disorders of the heart's impulse generation and conduction systems, acute decompensated heart failure, and severe kidney or liver disease.During pregnancy, the medicinal product should only be used if there is a strict medical indication.

You should consult your dentist if using the product over an extended period.No special precautions regarding the ability to drive or operate machinery are necessary.

Pregnancy

Use during pregnancy should only occur if absolutely necessary.Controlled studies involving pregnant women are not available.Small amounts of lidocaine pass into breast milk; a risk to the infant appears unlikely at therapeutic doses.
