Salviathymol® N MADAUS is a traditional medicine that is used for mild inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa.It has a mild effect and helps to combat painful inflammation and inhibit unpleasant bad breath.The product protects the mouth and throat from other diseases and contains valuable active ingredients from seven medicinal plants.It is diluted with water and can also be used on dental floss or in the oral irrigator.Salviathymol® N MADAUS maintains the natural whiteness of the teeth, has a gum-strengthening effect and has a refreshing taste.

Area of application

Salviathymol® N MADAUS is traditionally used for sore throats or mild inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa.It is a concentrate for gargling and rinsing and is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over.The product contains highly effective essential oils from various medicinal plants, such as sage oil, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil, bitter fennel oil, star anise oil, levomenthol and thymol.These active ingredients work against harmful bacteria and fungi as well as bad breath.In addition, Salviathymol® N MADAUS is pain-relieving, gum-strengthening, anti-inflammatory, healing-promoting and tastes pleasantly aromatic and refreshing.

Mode of action

Salviathymol® N MADAUS contains valuable oils from medicinal plants that have the following properties:

Sage oil has an antibacterial effect and inhibits inflammation.Its astringent effect causes the mucous membrane in the mouth to contract, preventing viruses and bacteria from penetrating further.

Eucalyptus oil has an antibacterial effect, is anti-inflammatory and clears the respiratory tract, making it easier to cough up.

Peppermint oil has an antibacterial and additional circulation-promoting and spasmolytic effect.

Cinnamon oil has an antibacterial and circulation-promoting effect.

Fennel oil relieves complaints of the upper respiratory tract, such as coughs and sore throats, and has an antibacterial effect.

Star anise oil is antibacterial and expectorant, promotes expectoration and has a mild antispasmodic effect.

Clove oil has an antibacterial effect and promotes blood circulation.

Ingredients of Salviathymol® N MADAUS: 1 g liquid (equivalent to 1 ml) contains: sage oil 2 mg, eucalyptus oil 2 mg, peppermint oil 23 mg, cinnamon oil 2 mg, clove oil 5 mg, fennel oil 10 mg, star anise oil 5 mg, levomenthol 20 mg, thymol 1 mg.The other ingredients are: ethanol 96%, propylene glycol, sodium dodecyl sulfate, polysorbate 80, saccharin sodium, chlorophyll-copper complex (E 141), purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of Salviathymol® N MADAUS: Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and children over 12 years of age take 20 drops of Salviathymol® N MADAUS diluted with lukewarm water (100 ml) up to 3 times a day.This amount is sufficient for 3-4 rinses, i.e. a rinse time of approx. 2 minutes.Also draw the liquid through the spaces between your teeth.Rinsing with water is not necessary.You can also add a few drops of Salviathymol® N MADAUS to an oral irrigator and use it for daily oral hygiene.After use, rinse the device briefly with clean water.

For rinsing the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.

No prescription is required for this product.This medicine contains 243 mg alcohol (ethanol) per 20 drops corresponding to 31% by volume.The amount in 20 drops of this medicine is equivalent to 6 ml of beer or 3 ml of wine.
