Agnucaston film-coated tablets are a herbal medicine used for menstrual problems. It is used for rhythmic disturbances of menstruation, complaints before the onset of menstruation (premenstrual syndrome) and feelings of tension and swelling in the breasts. For diagnostic clarification of complaints in the breasts and disorders of menstruation, a doctor should first be consulted. The usual dose is 1 film-coated tablet 1 time daily, regardless of the meal. The medicine should be taken for several months without interruption, even during menstruation. It is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. No case of overdose has been reported so far. If the dose is forgotten, do not take a double dose. Discontinuation of the medicinal product is usually safe. A doctor should be consulted before use during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
