Information for use with the article Cactus compositum, liquid dilution for injection. Cactus compositum is a homeopathic medicinal product used for certain cardiovascular diseases. It contains the active ingredients Crateagus Dil. D2, Spigelia anthelmia Dil. D5, Kalium carbonicum Dil. D5, Selenicereus grandiflorus Dil. D3 and Nitroglycerinum Dil. D5, which are potentised together. Indications for use are, for example, feelings of anxiety in the region of the heart (pectanginal complaints). There are some contraindications to the use of Cactus compositum, for example in the case of an allergy to one of the active substances or other components of the medicinal product. Precautions and warnings must be observed, especially in the case of pain in the heart region that may radiate to the arms, upper abdomen or neck region. In case of persistent, unclear or new symptoms, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product should not be used in children under 12 years of age. A doctor should be consulted before use during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Possible side effects of Cactus compositum are short-term discomfort such as palpitations, accelerated heartbeat, drop in blood pressure or dizziness.
