The medicinal product Zinkit 20 is a zinc preparation for the treatment of clinically confirmed zinc deficiencies if these cannot be corrected by dietary means. It contains zinc sulphate and is taken in the form of coated tablets. The recommended dose is one tablet daily, which is equivalent to 20 mg of zinc. The tablets are taken fasting and with sufficient water before a meal. The duration of use depends on the therapeutic success. In the event of an overdose, nausea, vomiting and a metallic taste may occur. Pregnant women should only take the medicinal product if there is a proven zinc deficiency. Pregnant women, nursing mothers and people with allergies to zinc sulphate or other ingredients of the preparation should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking it.
