Zinc orotate-POS® 40 mg is an enteric-coated medicinal product for the treatment of zinc deficiencies that cannot be corrected nutritionally. Zinc is a vital trace element for various biochemical reactions in the body, such as carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism and the immune system. A zinc deficiency can manifest itself, among other things, through delayed wound healing or problems with hair and nail growth. Certain groups of people such as the elderly, vegans or vegetarians, pregnant women and people with pre-existing conditions have a higher risk of zinc deficiency. Zinc orotate-POS with 6.3 mg zinc offers an effective and well-tolerated way to compensate for zinc deficiency. The dosage depends on age and need and is usually 1-3 tablets daily. The tablets contain organic zinc compounds that are well absorbed and utilised by the body. Due to the enteric coating, the tablets are gentle on the stomach and develop their effect in the small intestine. Zinc orotate-POS is suitable for adults, children from 4 years of age and also during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are rarely any side effects from its use.
