Amorolfin beta is a nail varnish containing active ingredients for the treatment of nail fungus. The nail varnish contains the active ingredient amorolfine, which is effective against a variety of fungi that can cause a nail fungus infection. The nail varnish is applied once a week to the affected fingernails or toenails and used until the diseased nails have grown back healthy. Before application, the nail surface should be filed down and cleaned. Nail polish remover should not be used during and between applications. The duration of treatment is usually 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails. The medicine should not be used in certain contraindications such as hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Side effects are rare and should be discussed with a doctor if they occur. The nail varnish should not normally be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
