Amorolfin beta is a medicine for the topical treatment of nail fungus. It contains the active substance amorolfine, which is effective against various fungi that can cause fungal nail infections. The medicine is used when less than 50% of the nail is affected, especially in the front area, and less than 3 nails are affected. The medicine is applied once a week until the diseased nails have grown out healthily. Before the first application, the diseased parts of the nail surface should be filed off and the nail surface cleaned with an alcohol swab. The nail polish is then applied evenly to the entire surface of the diseased nail and allowed to dry for 10 minutes. It is important to note that a nail file used for treatment should not be used again for the care of healthy nails to avoid infection of healthy nails. The duration of treatment is usually 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails, depending on the degree of infestation and the rate of nail growth. The preparation should not be used if you are allergic to amorolfine or any of the other ingredients. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
