Instructions for use of the article PROCAIN ROEWO 1% AMP 2ML The preparation PROCAIN ROEWO 1% AMP 2ML is a medicinal product for local anaesthesia. It is injected intracutaneously into healthy skin and is used to treat neural therapeutic principles of application. The active substance of the drug is procaine hydrochloride. There are 10 mg procaine hydrochloride in 1 ml injection solution. Other ingredients are sodium hydroxide solution (6 %), hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride and water for injection. In certain pre-existing conditions such as vascular occlusion, arteriosclerosis or nerve damage in diabetes mellitus, a lower dosage is required. Elderly people should adjust the dose according to their general condition. Before the drug is used, the attending physician should ensure that the circulation is adequately filled and that all measures for ventilation and resuscitation are ready. In case of known allergies to similar drugs, an allergic reaction to procaine may occur. Use in pregnant women should only be undertaken after careful consideration of the benefits to the mother and unborn child. For short-term use, interruption of breast-feeding is usually not necessary, but for repeated or higher doses, breast-feeding should be discontinued. The drug should only be injected by persons with the appropriate knowledge to carry out the applications successfully.
