Fixomull® stretch is an adhesive bandage that is used to fix wound dressings.It is characterized by its flexibility, as its transverse elasticity makes it cuddly and adapts well to contoured parts of the body.The bandage prevents constrictions, congestion and circulatory problems and is particularly suitable for sensitive skin as it has a high level of air and water vapor permeability.The material consists of a polyester fleece coated with polyacrylate adhesive.

Application

Fixomull® stretch is suitable for fixing wound dressings and compresses on areas of the body and joints that move a lot, as well as for securely attaching probes, catheters and measuring elements.The bandage can be cut to size and is supple.The application takes place in three steps: First, the required amount is cut off, then half of the protective film is removed and the bandage is stuck to the affected part of the body.The second half of the protective film is then removed, the bandage is completely applied and smoothed out.

Does Fixomull® stretch have to be removed before an X-ray examination?

No.Although Fixomull® stretch is not transparent, it is still transparent to X-rays during the examination.The bandage therefore does not need to be removed for x-ray examinations.

Is Fixomull® stretch also suitable for very sensitive skin such as baby or aging skin?
