Directions for use of the article HerzASS-ratiopharm 100 mg Tablets HerzASS-ratiopharm 100 mg are tablets containing acetylsalicylic acid. This active substance inhibits the adhesion and clumping together of blood platelets and thus prevents the formation of blood clots. The drug is used to inhibit platelets in various heart conditions, such as unstable angina, acute myocardial infarction and reinfarction prophylaxis. It is also used after operations or interventions on blood vessels and to prevent deficient blood flow in the brain. The medicine is not suitable for the treatment of pain. It must not be taken if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid or any of the other ingredients, have gastrointestinal ulcers or an abnormally increased tendency to bleed, suffer from liver or kidney failure or are pregnant. Certain precautions must be taken when taking this medicine, especially if you have allergies, asthma, gastrointestinal ulcers or impaired liver or kidney function. There may be interactions with other medicines such as anticoagulants, painkillers, anti-inflammatories or blood pressure lowering medicines.
