ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH tablets

With ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH , the active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid inhibits the sticking and clumping of blood platelets (thrombocytes) and thus prevents the formation of blood clots (thrombi). ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH tablets are used for circulatory disorders in the coronary arteries.They are part of the standard therapy for acute heart attacks and to prevent another heart attack after a first heart attack.In addition, ASS 100 is used after operations or other interventions on arterial blood vessels, such as bypass operations, and to prevent temporary circulatory disorders in the brain.

Areas of application

ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH is used as part of standard therapy to treat acute myocardial infarction and to prevent recurrent myocardial infarction.They are also used as part of standard therapy to treat unstable angina pectoris.Furthermore, the use of the preparation is indicated for the prevention of cerebral infarction and transient ischemic attacks (TIA) after the occurrence of precursor stages as well as after arterial vascular surgery or interventional procedures.

Mode of action

Acetylsalicylic acid is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase.In addition to other effects, ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH irreversibly inhibit platelet aggregation, thus improving the flow properties of the blood and helping to prevent vascular occlusions.

1 Tablet ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH contains 100 mg acetylsalicylic acid as an active ingredient.Other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, pre-gelatinized corn starch, highly disperse silicon dioxide and stearic acid.

Contraindications

ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients mentioned, acute stomach and intestinal ulcers, pathologically increased bleeding tendency, liver and kidney failure, severe, uncontrolled heart muscle weakness, allergic reactions and asthma attacks when taking salicylates or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and in combination with methotrexate 15 mg or more per week.

Particular caution and medical supervision of the use of the drug is required in the event of hypersensitivity to other anti-inflammatory drugs/anti-rheumatic drugs or other allergenic substances, existing allergies, asthma, hay fever, nasal mucous membrane swelling, chronic respiratory diseases, simultaneous therapy with anticoagulants, stomach or intestinal ulcers or stomach or intestinal bleeding in the past, oxalate urolithiasis, iron storage diseases, impaired liver and kidney function, patients withCerebral hemorrhages, patients with gout and before operations.

The use of ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding as well as in children under 12 years of age and in children and adolescents with febrile symptoms of the disease.

Dosage

ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH should be taken exactly as directed by a doctor.A daily dose of 1 tablet is recommended for unstable angina pectoris and to prevent temporary cerebral insufficiency (TIA) and cerebral infarctions.In the case of an acute heart attack, 1 tablet daily is also recommended, and the first tablet should be bitten.To prevent another heart attack, 3 tablets daily are recommended.After surgery or other procedures on arterial blood vessels, 1 tablet daily is recommended.

The tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid after a meal.Do not take on an empty stomach! ASS 100 - 1 A Pharma® TAH are intended for long-term use as directed by a doctor.

Intake

Take after meals with plenty of liquid.To treat an acute heart attack, the first tablet should be bitten or chewed.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Since the influence on pregnancy is unclear, acetylsalicylic acid should not be taken in the first 6 months.It is not allowed to be taken in the last 3 months as it can prolong the pregnancy and inhibit labor.An increased tendency to bleeding has been observed in mother and child.Taking ASS shortly before birth can cause cerebral hemorrhage, especially in premature babies. Acetylsalicylic acid passes into breast milk in small amounts.With short-term use of the recommended dose, interruption of breastfeeding is usually not necessary.If you use it for a long time or take larger quantities, you should stop breastfeeding.

Other

Not suitable for treating pain.Please inform your doctor or dentist before operations.Dizziness and ringing in the ears can be signs of an overdose, especially in children and elderly patients.In these cases, please notify your doctor.If the recommended dosage is exceeded, liver values may increase.Therefore, regular monitoring of liver values is necessary, especially in children.Can trigger a gout attack if uric acid levels are elevated.Use in children and adolescents with feverish illnesses only on medical advice.
