ASS AL 100 TAH contains the active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid and is used to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases.It is available without a prescription.The active ingredient inhibits the formation of thromboxane A2, a messenger substance that promotes the clumping of blood platelets and narrows the blood vessels.As a result, ASS AL 100 TAH improves the flow properties of the blood and helps prevent vascular occlusions.

Areas of application

Mode of action

Ingredients

1 Tablet ASS AL 100 TAH contains 100 mg acetylsalicylic acid as an active ingredient.Other ingredients include corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose and cellulose powder.

Application

The tablets are taken whole after meals with plenty of liquid. ASS AL 100 TAH tablets should not be taken on an empty stomach.The following dosages are recommended:

For unstable angina pectoris: 1 tablet ASS AL 100 TAH (equivalent to 100 mg acetylsalicylic acid per day) as part of standard therapy.

For acute heart attack: 1 tablet ASS AL 100 TAH (corresponding to 100 mg acetylsalicylic acid per day) as part of standard therapy.To treat an acute heart attack, the first tablet should be bitten or chewed.

For reinfarction prophylaxis: ASS AL 100 TAH tablets 3 times daily (corresponding to 300 mg acetylsalicylic acid per day).

After operations or other interventions on arterial blood vessels: 1 tablet ASS AL 100 TAH (corresponding to 100 mg acetylsalicylic acid per day).After aortocoronary vein bypass, the best time to start treatment with ASS AL 100 TAH appears to be 24 hours after surgery.

To prevent temporary cerebral insufficiency (TIA) and cerebral infarction after precursor stages have occurred: 1 tablet ASS AL 100 TAH (equivalent to 100 mg acetylsalicylic acid per day).
