Fermentura Curcuma capsules are a food supplement containing fermented curcuma. The fermented curcuma roots go through a 3-step fermentation process to preserve their valuable ingredients. This process involves the use of lactic acid bacteria to ferment the curcuma roots. This fermentation produces various compounds such as dextrorotatory lactic acid, which can be processed by the human body. The fermented curcuma contains various active ingredients such as essential oils, curcuminoids, ferulic acid and caffeic acid. Curcumin, one of the curcuminoids, gives curcuma its characteristic yellow colour and acts as a natural defence against fungi and bacteria.
