The product contains potassium permanganate as an active ingredient in a concentration of 1.0 grams per 100 grams of solution concentrate.The other ingredient is purified water.

Area of application

This product is used to reduce germs on the skin.It is also suitable for making baths, rinses and compresses.

Dosage

Before use, the solution concentrate must be diluted with water.The diluted solution should have a faint purple color.For a 0.001 percent solution you can do the following:

For rinsing wounds and for compresses: Dilute 1 milliliter of concentrated solution, which corresponds to about 20 drops, with 1 liter of drinking water.

For a foot bath: Dilute 5 milliliters of solution concentrate, which corresponds to a teaspoon, with 5 liters of water.

For a full bath: Add 100 milliliters of solution concentrate to 100 liters of water.

The diluted solution must always be prepared fresh.Rinses, compresses or baths should be carried out with the diluted solution 2-3 times a day, each time for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Contraindications

The product should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to potassium permanganate.As a methemoglobin producer, potassium permanganate can cause severe methemoglobinemia in individuals with methemoglobin reductase insufficiency.

Notes

Potassium permanganate can turn skin, textiles and other items brown.Stains can be gently removed with a 10 percent ascorbic acid solution.
