Directions for use of the article Natu Hepa 600 mg Coated Tablets: The coated tablets contain 600 mg dry artichoke leaf extract as the active substance. They are used to treat digestive disorders (dyspeptic complaints), especially functional disorders of the draining bile system. It is important that you read the package leaflet before use and consult your doctor or pharmacist if necessary. The tablets are suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over. Take them twice daily with meals, unchewed and with plenty of liquid. Keep the leaflet and consult your doctor if your symptoms get worse or do not improve after 7 days. This medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to artichoke and other compositae or any of the other ingredients, or if you have biliary disorders such as obstruction or inflammation of the bile ducts, gallstone disease and inflammation of the liver (hepatitis). Special caution is advised in children under 12 years of age. The simultaneous use of Natu-hepa 600 mg and anticoagulants of the coumarin type may weaken the effectiveness of the latter. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take the medicinal product. Side effects may occur such as diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, nausea, heartburn and skin rashes, the frequency of which cannot be estimated. If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist. The medicinal product must be stored away from heat.
