Helixor P 0.01 mg solution for injection is used to treat tumour diseases. The active substance comes from fresh mistletoe and is made from pine mistletoe. It is applied subcutaneously, either near the tumour or at various sites on the healthy skin. The dosage is individualised and gradually increased. Local inflammatory reactions may occur, but they are harmless. In case of excessive reactions, the next injection should be administered at a reduced strength. Side effects may also include allergic reactions such as skin rashes or breathing difficulties. In these cases, medical treatment is required. Use during pregnancy and lactation requires caution. The duration of use of Helixor P is determined by the doctor and can be several years, with regular breaks. In case of overdosage, inflammatory reactions occur at the injection sites, which can be treated with moist cool compresses. In severe cases, immediate medical treatment is required.
