Harzol 10 mg hard capsules are used for the symptomatic treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (benign enlargement of the prostate) in adult males. The medicine is of herbal origin and contains the active ingredient phytosterol. It can relieve symptoms such as a weakening urinary stream, delayed bladder emptying and frequent urge to urinate. Harzol is taken three times a day in a dosage of 2 capsules, preferably at mealtimes with sufficient liquid. Treatment may be long-term as the condition is chronic. An overdose of the medicinal product is not known. If a capsule is forgotten, the prescribed amount should be taken the next time. Interruption or premature discontinuation of treatment may occur depending on medical advice. Harzol should be kept out of the reach of children and protected from light and moisture. In addition to the active substance, the capsules also contain glucose, lactose monohydrate and other ingredients.
