Instructions for use of Sabalvit capsules

Sabalvit capsules are a herbal medicine that is used for urinary problems due to a benign enlargement of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia).The active ingredient is a thick extract from saw palmetto fruits.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Sabalvit is used for micturition problems in stages I to II according to Alken or II to III according to Vahlensieck.It relieves symptoms but does not cure prostate enlargement.If you have blood in your urine, urinary tract infections, worsening symptoms or acute urinary retention, you should consult a doctor immediately.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each soft capsule contains 160 mg thick extract of saw palmetto fruits (9-11:1) with ethanol 96% (V/V) as an extractant.The other ingredients are gelatin polysuccinate, glycerol 85%, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171) and iron (III) oxide hydrate, black (E 172).

Dosage and application

Adults should take one soft capsule twice daily after meals with plenty of liquid.The capsules should be swallowed whole.The duration of use is not limited, but regular visits to the doctor should be made.In the event of an overdose, no special measures are required, but you should inform your doctor.Forgotten doses should not be made up.

Contraindications

Sabalvit must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to saw palmetto fruits or any of the other ingredients.It is not suitable for children and young people under 18 years of age.Pregnancy and breastfeeding are not areas of application as the product is only intended for men.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomach or abdominal pain, and diarrhea.In rare cases, allergic reactions may occur.If side effects occur, the medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines have not been sufficiently investigated.However, caution is advised when taking antiandrogens, therapeutic androgens, anticoagulant drugs and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at the same time.Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.Note the expiry date on the outer carton or container.Keep the outer box closed and protect the contents from light and moisture.
