The fruit of the saw palmetto, also called sabal, contains a variety of ingredients such as fats, fatty acids, secondary plant substances and phytosterols.These act against typical symptoms of benign prostate enlargement, including increased urge to urinate, delayed bladder emptying, the feeling of incomplete bladder emptying and dribbling.Prostagutt® uno is suitable for male adults.

Areas of application

Prostagutt® uno is suitable for men with urinary problems caused by benign prostate enlargement.These include frequent urge to urinate and other micturition symptoms in stages I to II according to Alken.

Mode of action

Prostagutt® uno contains an extract from saw palmetto fruits, which inhibits the formation of growth-promoting substances in the prostate.As a result, it has a soothing effect and relaxes the prostate, which reduces pressure on the urethra.

Each Prostagutt® uno soft capsule contains 320 mg thick extract from saw palmetto fruits (10-14.3:1), with ethanol 90% (m/m) serving as the extractant.The other ingredients include gelatin polysuccinate, glycerol 85%, iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O (E172), iron (II, III) oxide (E172) and patent blue V (E131).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

The usual dosage is one capsule of Prostagutt® uno once a day, which is taken whole with a little liquid, preferably with a meal.It is usually taken in the morning, but can also be taken at another time.It is important to maintain the chosen intake time to ensure regular intervals.The effect will be noticeable after about four weeks.Prostagutt® uno is suitable for long-term use and the duration of use is not limited in time.

Patient information

This medication relieves the symptoms of an enlarged prostate, but does not cure the enlargement itself. Therefore, you should see your doctor at regular intervals.Be sure to keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
