Instructions for use of the article Tegaderm 3M I.V. Advanced Dressing 10x12 cm 1688 The Tegaderm IV Advanced fixation dressing from 3M is a highly adhesive transparent dressing for fixation of intravenous catheters. The dressing provides protection, fixation and stabilisation while allowing the skin to breathe. The dressing uses a dual adhesive technology consisting of two specially designed adhesive films. This allows the dressing to adhere very well even to moist skin. Above the catheter insertion site is a transparent film with an adhesive applied in a net shape. This secures and protects the catheter and allows good drainage of skin moisture. A second, full-surface adhesive foil surrounds the dressing and prevents the edges from rolling up. The Tegaderm dressing measures 10 cm x 12 cm and is suitable for various catheter types, such as CVC, arterial, dialysis, midline and lumbar catheters.
