Canikur Pro is a synbiotic (probiotic and prebiotic) complementary dietetic feed for regulating physiological digestion.It can be administered alongside treatment for diarrhea to support the intestinal flora.Diarrhea is a common problem in pets and can compromise intestinal flora;administering a synbiotic can help restore this balance.

Active Ingredients / Constituents / Ingredients

Canikur Pro contains a combination of a probiotic, a prebiotic, and an adsorbent.The probiotic *E. faecium* protects the intestinal lining and strengthens the immune system.The prebiotic Bio-Mos®-C promotes the growth and activity of specific bacterial strains beneficial to the intestinal flora.Thanks to its surface structure, the adsorbent bentonite binds toxins, viruses, and bacteria that can negatively affect the intestinal flora.

The composition of Canikur Pro includes soybean oil, inactivated yeast, lupin protein meal, glucose, sodium chloride, disodium phosphate, and sunflower oil.Constituents include crude oils and fats (41.1%), crude ash (21.1%), acid-insoluble ash (13.0%), crude protein (6.0%), and crude fiber (1.5%).Additives include bentonite (16.5%) and *Enterococcus faecium* (2 x CFU/10¹² CFU/kg).

Dosage

Canikur Pro paste can be administered twice daily—either mixed with food or directly into the dog's or cat's mouth—according to the specified dosage.If other medications are being given, Canikur Pro should always be administered 1 to 2 hours later.

Feeding recommendations are as follows: dogs up to 10 kg receive 2 ml; dogs up to 25 kg receive 4 ml; dogs up to 40 kg receive 6 ml; dogs up to 60 kg receive 8 ml; and dogs over 60 kg receive 10 ml—in each case, twice daily.Cats receive 1–2 ml, also twice daily.

Is Canikur Pro also suitable for puppies?Yes, Canikur Pro can be given to puppies from 3 weeks of age.Puppies are curious and explore their surroundings—sniffing the ground, and often discovering and playfully eating waste while out for a walk.This can result in diarrhea, as such waste is often not well tolerated. In the case of puppy diarrhea, you should particularly think about an infestation with worms or other parasites as well as infections with bacteria or viruses.Even poisoning can be a possibility.Therefore, if you have diarrhea, please consult your veterinarian - as diarrhea can be life-threatening.
