Instructions for use for Kadeflora lactic acid treatment disposable applicator vaginal use, 7X2.5 g
KadeFlora lactic acid treatment disposable applicators for vaginal use
KadeFlora lactic acid treatment contains lactic acid in a gel and, with a pH value of 4, is tailored to the natural vaginal environment. The lactic acid promotes the acidification of the vaginal environment and supports the regeneration of the natural, acidic pH value. This creates favorable conditions for the proliferation of the body's own lactic acid bacteria, which can resume their protective function.A 7-day treatment helps to regenerate and stabilize the natural vaginal flora, reducing the risk of bacterial vaginosis recurring.
Areas of application
KadeFlora lactic acid treatment is used to regenerate and stabilize the vaginal flora and to restore the natural, acidic environment. It can be used for mild symptoms of bacterial vaginosis or as an adjunct to antibiotic treatment.Regular use helps prevent recurrences.
How does bacterial vaginosis occur?
Bacterial vaginosis occurs when the vaginal mucosa is overpopulated with undesirable intestinal bacteria such as Gardnerella vaginalis.Typical signs include a strong, fishy odor and a grayish-whitish vaginal discharge. An unstable vaginal environment with a reduced number of lactic acid bacteria and an increased pH value favors the growth of these bacteria.
Symptoms of bacterial vaginosis
Strong intimate odor, itching and changed vaginal discharge can indicate bacterial vaginosis.Typical symptoms are thin, sometimes foamy, gray-whitish discharge, a strong, fish-like intimate odor and an increased vaginal pH value (above 4.5).
When is it recommended to build up the vaginal flora with a lactic acid treatment?
The use of a lactic acid treatment makes sense if the vaginal flora is attacked and is out of its natural balance. This may be the case when treating bacterial vaginosis with antibiotics, for recurrent urinary tract infections, to regulate pH during pregnancy, or to prevent recurrent bacterial vaginosis.
How can you prevent bacterial vaginosis?
A stable, acidic vaginal environment with a high number of lactic acid bacteria is the best way to prevent bacterial vaginosis.Lactic acid creates favorable conditions for the proliferation of the protective lactic acid bacteria.
When can KadeFlora lactic acid treatment be started during antibiotic therapy?
If an oral antibiotic therapy lasts 1 to 3 days, KadeFlora Lactic Acid Treatment can be used immediately afterwards. If the antibiotic has to be taken over a longer period of time, it makes sense to use it from the middle of the oral antibiotic treatment. If antibiotics are used vaginally, you should wait until the first day after the last use of the antibiotic to start the course.
Application
KadeFlora lactic acid treatment is inserted vaginally on 7 consecutive days, either sitting or lying down. Before use, the applicator should be tapped down several times so that the gel collects at the tip.The cap is twisted off and the applicator is carefully inserted into the vagina. When pulling it out, press evenly on the applicator so that the lactic acid can spread across the vaginal mucosa. To prevent the gel from running out, it should be used in the evening before going to bed.
Notes
The design of the applicator guarantees a sufficient amount of gel.If handled correctly, a residual amount will remain in the applicator after use and should be discarded. There is no experience to what extent the product changes adversely after repeated use.If condoms come into direct contact with KadeFlora Lactic Acid Treatment, the tensile strength may be impaired, meaning that the safety of condom use cannot be guaranteed.KadeFlora Lactic Acid Treatment does not need to be stored in a cool place.
